About Kidzz4Kidzz, Inc.

Kidzz4Kidzz, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation founded by kids to help other kids who may face challenges that need a unique understanding.

Kidzz4Kidzz currently provides three distinct programs to enrich the lives of New York metro-area youths:

  1. Camp Feldman is the annual Kidzz4Kidzz one-day summer camp allowing local Big Brothers/ Big Sisters participants to enjoy a day of swimming, kickball, mini-golf and arts & crafts
  2. The Kidzz4Kidzz Mentoring Program provides teenage mentors to youths in foster care, giving the youngsters a peer with whom they can discuss any issues and difficulties they face in their day-to-day lives
  3. The Kidzz4Kidzz International Pen-Pal Program seeks to create international awareness and understanding for Long Island area youngsters by matching up 50 teen volunteers with children living in a village in Mwanza, Tanzania.

Kidzz4Kidzz was established in 2004 by Samantha (Sammi) Feldman, then an incoming freshman at Long Island’s G.W. Hewlett High School. Through Sammi’s vision, Kidzz4Kidzz has been able to touch the lives of hundreds of children, both here at home and far overseas.

For her efforts, in 2005 Sammi received The President’s Volunteer Service Award in recognition and appreciation of her “commitment to Strengthening our Nation and for making a difference through volunteer service,” as well as the Alexander Hamilton Friends Association’s Alexander Hamilton Citizen Achievement National Gold Award for “consistently surpassing the highest standards of personal, civic, and scholastic achievement as a secondary school student.” The Alexander Hamilton Award also earned her a letter of recognition from Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D – NY).

Sammi has also earned commendation from New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer as a Triple “C” Award recipient for displaying “Character, Courage and Commitment,” and has been lauded by numerous local and regional community and non-profit groups.

Kidzz4Kidzz currently boasts approximately seventy children and teenagers who volunteer their time and efforts to helping children like themselves. Though primarily comprised by students from Hewlett High School on Long Island, volunteers also come from a number of other area schools, including Hewlett Elementary School, Woodmere Middle School, Lawrence High School and Lynbrook High School.

Kidzz4Kidzz relies primarily on the generous donations of individuals and businesses looking to better the lives of New York, Connecticut and New Jersey youths.
