December 2009:
It's an exciting holiday season here at Kidzz4Kidzz, Inc.! We've booked a fabulous speaker for this year's Awareness Day, scheduled to take place in April or May. The holiday season can be a tough time for children who aren't living with their biological parents, so we're sending our annual holiday gifts to all of the children in our mentoring program. And, we're starting a completely new program!
We're very excited about the Kidzz4Kidzz Online Outreach Program, a program that helps young people who are being abused get support and, if possible, get out of their abusive situation.
August 2009:
The summer's events are over and although we miss all of the amazing children we got to know, it's nice to feel the satisfaction of a job well done. Besides the fact that nearly all our volunteers forgot their sunscreen and now look like tomatoes, everything went off without a hitch.
We're waiting quite impatiently for more of the children to get in touch with us- it's funny how attached we get to each other in just a day. Normally, all of us at Kidzz4Kidzz take a break from the ending of the events to mid-September, but this year we're already hard at work on our latest project- rounding up children to join our support groups for young abuse survivors. We're hoping that we'll get a good response for those, especially since they're really unique support groups, which will also include biweekly, fun activities for all participants (for more information on Kidzz4Kidzz support groups, contact us).
