Kidzz4Kidzz currently provides three distinct programs to enrich the lives of New York metro-area youths:
- Camp Feldman, started in 2004, is the annual Kidzz4Kidzz one-day summer camp allowing local Big Brothers/Big Sisters participants to enjoy a day of swimming, kickball, mini-golf, arts and crafts and our famous all hands “butt-ball!”
- The Kidzz4Kidzz Mentoring Program, started in 2005, provides teenage mentors to youths in foster care, giving the youngsters a peer with whom they can discuss any issues and difficulties they face in their day-today lives.
- The Kidzz4Kidzz International Pen-Pal Program, started in 2005, seeks to create international awareness and understanding for Long Island area youngsters by matching up 50 volunteers with children living in a village in Mwanza, Tanzania.
2007 Programs Announced. We are excited that Camp Feldman 2007 will be held at Coleman Country Day Camp for the fourth year in a row on August 18. We are thrilled to once again include participation from the Big Brothers/Big Sisters programs from Long Island, Northern New Jersey, Catholic Big Brothers in NYC, Newark and Southwestern Connecticut. The mentoring program event will be held on August 22- dozens of foster children will be treated to a hibachi dinner and bowling, along with a one-on-one match with a teen “peer” mentor.
